Projects

Previously our coverage of the projects area has been split into a main Projects table, and a Projects: PPP/PFI sub-table. In the UK 2025 Guide, we have changed the structure so that our Projects is split into Projects: Mainly International and Projects: Mainly Domestic.  Read more about this change in the dedicated article elsewhere on the website.

Energy & Natural Resources

Previously, our coverage of this area comprised three main tables: Oil & Gas; Renewables and Alternative Energy; and Power. This year, we have consolidated these last two into a single Power, Renewables & Alternative Energy section.

With the focus on the energy transition and with fewer ‘traditional’ power projects taking place without an alternative energy component, the distinction between these two areas has become less clear.

By combining these tables, we are better able to recognise the fullness of a firm’s practice in a single table.

Planning & Environment

Outside of London, we are moving towards the combination of our Planning and Environment sections. In the 2025 Guide, we have made this change for three areas: Wales, Northern Ireland and East Anglia. We expect more regions to follow suit in due course.
