Haldanes has both the largest and longest established criminal defence practice in Hong Kong engaged exclusively in assisting persons or companies facing criminal prosecution.
Stretching back to 1981 when the first commercial crime prosecution was staged in Hong Kong through to the present, Haldanes has been involved in many of the major criminal trials.
This department regularly assists clients with securities and futures commission regulatory issues, commercial crime, extradition, competition law and all aspects of criminal defence work.
