INTERNATIONAL WORK:

Fenchurch Law is regularly instructed in disputes with an international dimension, and can provide advice to any policyholder, anywhere in the World. Much of the firm’s work involves an international element, and the firm has recently advised clients in the US, The Bahamas, Canada, Denmark, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the BVI, Singapore, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Australia.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF WORK

For Policyholders:

Fenchurch Law’s core purpose is to act for policyholders when an insurer has refused to provide the cover a policyholder is entitled to. Many of the team have backgrounds of working within the insurance market (for insurers, brokers and leading insurer-side law firms), enabling them to provide pragmatic and commercially sound coverage advice to any type of client, in order to ensure the best possible result is achieved in any coverage dispute. Since its inception in 2010, the firm has recovered over £500m in insurance settlements for policyholders. It is instructed in high-value/complex disputes involving insurance policies including professional indemnity, D&O, crime, cyber, W&I, construction all risks, products/public liability, property/BI insurance, building defect guarantee, amongst others.

For Insurance Brokers:

Fenchurch Law assists insurance brokers worldwide, providing outstanding claims service to their policyholder clients. The firm is retained by brokers to provide advice on coverage disputes involving their policyholder clients. Fenchurch Law offers a free-preliminary review to any broker of any declined claim. As a consequence of its experience in resolving coverage disputes, the firm also advises brokers and their policyholder clients on the wording of insurance policies in order to prevent disputes from arising wherever possible.

Fenchurch Law advises a wide range of clients including global multinationals, corporate officers, professional advisors, not-for-profits and high net worth individuals. Many of the firm’s clients have gone on to refer their own clients/peers to Fenchurch Law.
