Health Care M&A and Private Equity - Tammy regularly advises clients regarding transaction structure, entity formation, changes and updates of ownership filings for licensure and governmental payors and regulatory due diligence on health care M&A and private equity transactions, including those involving hospitals and hospital systems, pharmacies, home health, hospice, assisted living, ICF/IDD, DMEPOS, laboratories, therapy and rehabilitation, and medical/dental providers and group practices.
Health Care Regulatory and Compliance Counsel - Tammy regularly counsels clients on various state and federal health care laws, including HIPAA, Medicare / Medicaid reimbursement and compliance, fraud and abuse such as the Federal Anti-Kickback Act and Stark Law, corporate practice of medicine and fee splitting, structuring management services arrangements, telemedicine, health care licensure and certification, and overpayment and enforcement matters.
Care Delivery Models - Tammy also regularly advises managed care organizations and other payors on investments in health care providers and development of various care delivery models, including care coordination and management, value-based care and primary or home care models.
Tammy has served in various leadership roles with the American Bar Association, Health Law Section and has authored two health law book publications through the ABA: What is CHOW and Chapter 5: HIPAA Compliance: Privacy, Security and Breach Obligations in “Physician Law: Evolving Trends & Hot Topics.” She regularly writes and speaks on a wide range of legal and regulatory topics impacting the health care industry.
