Career

1993-2002: Assistant U.S. Attorney, Southern District of New York - represented U.S. and its agencies in all phases of civil litigation, including trials and appeals in federal and state court. Her cases involved commercial, tax, bankruptcy, fair housing, employment, constitutional, environmental, and tort law. She also served as Chief of the Tax and Bankruptcy Unit.

Ms. O'Toole is a standing member of the panel of U.S. Bankruptcy Trustees, SDNY. Appointed to operate, reorganize and/or liquidate business concerns and individual bankruptcy estates under both Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. She has served as a post-confirmation Plan Administrator and/or Distribution Agent in several Chapter 11 cases in Manhattan.

Ms. O’Toole has been appointed as a Special Master in Multi District Litigation and guardian ad litem in shareholder derivative litigation
