Marcin Ciemiński is an advocate, partner at Clifford Chance and assistant professor at the University of Warsaw. He heads the CC Warsaw white-collar and compliance practice. He has acted many times as a defence counsel in some of the biggest criminal proceedings in Poland, conducted regulatory and internal investigations in cases concerning corruption, fraud and regulatory matters, advises clients on crisis and risk management. He advises financial institutions on business disputes, including matters against the Polish regulators, corporates on commercial disputes, and is involved in shareholders' disputes and matters relating to M&A transactions. He also frequently works for healthcare and life sciences companies to which he provides his litigation and regulatory expertise. He is the author of many publications on commercial law, litigation, compliance and a speaker on anti-corruption and compliance issues.
