Practice Areas
Lucy Coulson has a special emphasis on personal injury law encompassing high value employers’ liability and public liability cases. Recently Lucy has seen increasing instructions in cases relating to bullying, harassment and sexual assault in the workplace.
In addition, she is regularly instructed to represent Interested Persons at Inquests, particularly those encompassing Article 2 and requiring juries. She also has a burgeoning practice in clinical negligence cases.
As well as representing clients at hearings, Lucy has a busy paperwork practice, both advisory and drafting. She is adept at advising in cases involving vulnerable clients.
Lucy was appointed to the Attorney General’s Civil Regional B Panel in 2023 and is regularly instructed by government departments. She has advised on sensitive and legally complex matters.
Lucy has experience in professional misconduct cases, particularly before the Teachers’ Regulation Agency. She has an interest in cases arising in an educational context.
Career
Lucy is also an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham.
Between 2015 – 2021 Lucy practised on the Northern Circuit.
