Practice Areas

Kyra’s practice covers all aspects of financial remedies work. She specialises in complex family finance matters, involving a discrete handling of high profile and international cases. She has particular experience with trust and company structures, Part III matters, cases with difficult issues of non-disclosure, enforcement, forum disputes, issues of privilege and cases involving the implementation of nuptial agreements.

Kyra is frequently led by, or appears against, leading counsel in high value and prominent matters. She advises clients nationally and internationally, from jurisdictions including Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Singapore and France.

Career

Highly sought after for Part III matters, cases involving landed estates and those with complicated and valuable corporate structures, Kyra’s cases regularly involve disputes running into the hundreds of millions.

Some examples of issues in recent cases include the recognition of a foreign divorce and whether or not this was obtained fraudulently, the enforcement of international property transfers, disputed company valuations, the valuation of mineral resources and the appropriate awards where the assets all stem from dynastic family trusts.
