Justin B Beber of Brookfield Asset Management Inc.
The distinguished and “very trusted” Justin Beber is a Managing Partner, Head of Corporate Strategy and Chief Legal Officer for Brookfield Asset Management. He joined Brookfield in 2007, and also serves as Head of Strategic Initiatives for the company’s infrastructure arm as well as Chief Investment Officer for its water infrastructure business.
He wins recognition for his leadership of a global legal team at an “amazing organisation” that continues to be at the forefront of some of the market’s largest transactions. The company has had an extraordinary run and is widely regarded as being an extremely active, ambitious and innovative driver of Canadian economic growth. It was involved in two of the biggest deals in Canadian M&A in 2018 – its CAD13.2 billion acquisition of Johnson Controls’ batteries division and CAD11.4 billion acquisition of Forest City. Notably, it also completed its CAD4.3 billion acquisition of Enercare in the largest take-private transaction of the year.
