Career

She studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where she specialized in criminal justice, criminal defense and prevention. Julia completed her legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Munich (Oberlandesgericht München), where she then passed the second state examination in 2013 and started at LEITNER & KOLLEGEN as a research assistance and assessor.

She is particularly interested in European criminal law, having written her doctoral thesis on the scope of application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in German criminal law.
