Jason has a specialist commercial litigation and chancery practice with a focus on high-value litigation. Jason has been ranked as a “Leading Junior” in the legal directories where he has been described as “a standout lawyer” and a “very skilled advocate”.
Jason graduated with a 1st Class Law Degree and an ‘Outstanding’ on the Bar Course, performing top of his year on both courses.
Jason has a focus on substantial and complex litigation. He has experience of high value cases both being led by a silk and acting unled (including against KCs). His recent work includes being led by Mohammad Zaman KC on a multi-million pound case with allegations of bribery involving a claim and counterclaim with a total in dispute of approximately £7 million.
Jason’s particular expertise includes commercial litigation, banking litigation, company and partnership disputes, property matters.
Jason has a wealth of experience of the full range of chancery matters (especially contentious probate) and recently succeeded in a High Court trial in setting aside a will based on fraud, undue influence, want of capacity and want of knowledge and approval (Hibbert v Rignall [2024] W.T.L.R. 1275). Jason has also acted successfully in 1975 Act claims, rectification claims and claims to remove executors.
Prior to joining chambers, Jason worked in the litigation, regulatory and contentious tax team at Pinsent Masons LLP, a top 20 international law firm.
