Data Protection and Privacy
Friederike van der Jagt set up Hunter Legal after having worked as a privacy lawyer for leading Dutch law firms Van Doorne and Stibbe, and as Senior Legal Counsel Privacy for an international cyber security software company. She is a regular speaker and author on privacy and related matters, an editor of the SDU Data Protection Case Law Journal and writes for Wolters Kluwer’s dedicated GDPR webpage. Besides being a member of the Independent Privacy Advisory Committee of the Municipality of Amsterdam and the Board of the Dutch Lawyers Association, she holds positions as Senior Lecturer in Privacy Law (Grotius privacy specialization course) and as Lecturer in Privacy at the Professional Law Practice Training Foundation. She also serves as an arbitrator at SGOA, the leading independent non-profit centre for IT Conflict Management, and is a Fellow of the Business Law Institute of the Radboud University in Nijmegen.
Member of the Dutch Privacy Law Association (VPR) and the Dutch Privacy Lawyers Association (VPR-A). The VPR-A carries the specialization association quality mark of the Netherlands Bar.
Member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) (CIPP/E- and CIPP/US-certified).
