Erik Selander

Practice Areas

Erik Selander is a Partner in DLA Piper's Restructuring and Insolvency group. Erik works primarily with security-related issues and the handling of elevated credit risks and has extensive experience with large corporate reorganisations, liquidations and bankruptcies. He is also part of the firm's Banking and Finance group and has been active in banking for over 10 years, including as temporary General Counsel. Erik has been appointed by the World Bank as Sweden's National Coordinator regarding insolvency and company law, and he is a member of the Council and leads the Research Panel for Insolvency Law at the Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL). Erik is also a member of The World Bank's Insolvency Task Force and is involved in the ELI Rescue of Business in Insolvency Law Project as National Correspondent. Erik has advised the organizer of FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and works continuously for the Swedish Ski Association and Ski Team Sweden AB, for which DLA Piper is the exclusive legal adviser.
