Drew Dutton is a New York-based corporate insurance partner who regularly represents financial institutions, private equity sponsors, pension funds and multinational corporations in a broad range of cross-border transactions. Mr. Dutton is also a leader of the firm’s Private Fund Transactions Group, where he regularly advises investors and general partners on a wide range of anchor investments, co-investments, acquisition and investment platforms, bespoke joint ventures and secondaries transactions.
In the course of his more than 20-year career with Debevoise, Mr. Dutton has been resident in our offices in Hong Kong, Paris and Frankfurt and advised on deals across many industries and jurisdictions, but he has particularly extensive experience in transactions involving insurance businesses in North America, Bermuda, Asia and Europe.
Mr. Dutton joined Debevoise in New York in 1999 and became a partner in 2007. He is admitted to practice as an attorney in New York, an avocat in Paris and a solicitor in Hong Kong and England.
Mr. Dutton holds an honors A.B. in East Asian Studies (China) from Harvard College and law degrees from McGill University and the Université de Paris XI.
