Chris Keen

Chris is a Partner in the Corporate department and is Head of the Emerging Companies group.

He has significant experience working with young technology companies, entrepreneurs and investors. He has deep knowledge of the technology sector and an extensive network of contacts.

He advises on the full range of corporate and commercial matters including, venture capital and angel investments, technology transfer transactions including corporate and academic spin-outs, share option schemes, with particular expertise in Enterprise Management Incentives.

Chris also advises on technology licences across all sectors, with extensive experience in licensing software and software development kits to some of the largest businesses in the world, corporate governance, shareholders’ agreements and articles of association and intellectual property exploitation and protection.

He is ruthlessly pragmatic and focused on commercial outcomes for his clients, using his significant experience working for early stage technology companies to identify practical solutions to legal matters.

He has intimate knowledge of market trends which he uses to help narrow transactional issues, and an extensive network from which he can make introductions to investors and advisors who can help his clients to succeed.
