■Represented the Joint Lead Managers in connection with the issuance of U.S.$500,000,000 5.500 per cent. Notes due 2024 under the U.S.$2,000,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note Programme by a Bahraini Bank
■Acted for a consortium of lenders in the refinance of certain facilities made available to a key electricity supplier in the Kingdom of Bahrain
■Represented the Kingdom of Bahrain, acting through the Ministry of Finance (the Issuer) in connection with the issuance of US $1,250,000,000 6 per cent. Bonds due 19 September 2024
■Represented the Bahrain Government’s investment arm in connection with the US $1,000,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note Programme

Islamic Finance:
■Representing a leading Islamic Bank based in Bahrain in relation to the voluntary offer made by a major Bahraini bank to acquire up to 100% shares of the Islamic Bank
■Represented the Kingdom of Bahrain, acting through the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, in connection with the issuance of US $1,000,000,000 trust certificates due 2027 under its Trust Certificates Issuance Programme
■Represented the Bahrain Government’s investment arm in connection with the issuance of US $600,000,000 trust certificates due 2024 issued pursuant to the Multicurrency Trust Certificate Issuance Programme
■Represented the Bahrain Government’s investment arm in connection with the US $1,000,000,000 Multicurrency Trust Certificate Issuance Programme
■Represented a major Saudi Islamic Bank in relation to the restructuring and sale of US $200 million Sukuk in relation to a major real estate Bahrain Development Bank

Litigation & Arbitration:
■Representing one of the leading property developers in Bahrain as claimant against a UAE based financial institution for a claim of BD395,585.500
■Representing a major Bahrain based construction and civil engineering company as claimant against a developer of a renowned residential development in Bahrain for a claim of US $60 million (approximately)
■Acting on behalf of an investment bank in a case against a former officer of the bank claiming an amount of BD 5,348,300.500 for losses due to breach of contract, breach of duty, dishonesty and negligence
