Providing legal services to its local and multinational corporate clients, Cüneyt and Murat acted as Co-Managing Partners and respective heads of the Corporate and Dispute Resolution departments. From 2010 to 2014, the firm acted as the Turkish arm of an international law firm.
In 2017, they relocated to London and established a new office. Following rapid growth, the firm moved at the beginning of 2019 to the 33rd floor of the iconic Gherkin in London’s financial and legal district under the name “Karkın & Yüksel”. With their knowledge and understanding of the Turkish legal system, the firm are ideally placed to advise clients with interests in the country. Karkın and Yüksel offers trusted and specialist legal counsel from a foundation of heritage and expertise.
Aside from the firm’s Turkish expertise, their Advisory Board is comprised of experts from the legal and business worlds - Lord Edward Garnier QC (One Brick Court), Timothy Otty QC (Blackstone Chambers) Tom Dimitroff (the esteemed lawyer, strategy advisor and negotiator) and John Evans (Hawthorn Advisors).
Notable events included a drinks party at London’s Supreme Court in June for partners from leading law firms, barristers from numerous sets and Members of the House of Lords. Attendees congregated in the Court to hear testimonials from Lord Falconer, Lord Garnier and Lord Clement-Jones. Most recently, at the beginning of 2020, Karkın & Yüksel welcomed members of the House of Lords, diplomats and lawyers to the Home Room at the House of Lords for an insightful event with a keynote speech from Sir.
