Whether clients have dynastic wealth, are entrepreneurs or a combination of both, Crowe’s main aim is to protect their wealth for themselves and their families into retirement and for future generations.

The national team provides specific and tailored advice to the following high net worth clients:

Family Businesses:
■  Looking after family businesses taking into account their future aspirations and help them to plan and structure their affairs in order to meet their goals
■ Advising business owners on their own personal tax affairs, helping them to extract their profits efficiently and protect their wealth for their families
■ Working with the shareholders to bridge the gap between them and the financial directors of the business to support the aims of the business
■ Managing and nurturing the family relationships of multi-generational family business clients, particularly when planning for succession

The Next Generation:
■ Advising on how and when wealth should be passed on
■ Supporting on all aspects of succession planning including Wills, setting up Trusts, advising on making gifts and donating to charity
■ Addressing common client concerns such as inheritance tax (IHT), asset protection and the education of beneficiaries on the responsibility of inheritance
■ Supporting family trusts and estates, assisting with all aspects of administration, preparation of accounts and tax returns on behalf of both Trustees and beneficiaries

Personal Financial Planning:
■ Bringing focus and purpose to wealth accumulation, ensuring priorities and objectives are met and an appropriate financial planning strategy is in place
■ Making sure assets are held in appropriate tax structures to legitimately minimise current and future liabilities to tax
■ Ensuring investment solutions reflect our clients attitude to risk and that clients have a good understanding of where their monies are invested and the associated level of risks, relative to returns
■ Ongoing support to make adjustments when necessary, taking account of changes in personal circumstances and future objectives, tax and legislative changes and the underlying economic environment Property Investors:
■ Advising property investors from the UK and overseas on the full life cycle of their investments ensuring the best return
■ Advising on funding and acquiring property, the structure of ownership of their investments, taking into account all relevant property taxes and ultimately disposal of property where appropriate

■ Collaborating with specialists within Crowe’s corporate and financial planning teams to provide a seamless service with advice appropriate to both their business and personal aspirations
■ Working with entrepreneurs on their strategy, supporting them now and helping them plan for where they want to be
■ Advising on the right structure for their business, taking advantage of tax reliefs available, reviewing their pension and investment strategy and preparing for retirement

Business Angels:
■ Advising entrepreneurial clients who have been successful in their own right interested in supporting other newer businesses in a business angel capacity
■ Advising on the tax reliefs available for business angels
■ Supporting the investor through Crowe’s connections in this sector

International Private Clients:
■ Advising international individuals and their families, alongside colleagues in the Crowe Global network
■ Ensuring clients’ UK tax affairs are in order whether they are coming to, leaving the UK or simply investing into UK assets
■ Ensuring appropriate structures are in place to make the maximum benefit of nondomiciled status when clients are planning to settle in the UK Family Offices:
■Taking over the administration and running of the family’s financial affairs
■ Liaising with other professional advisors to take the strain out of managing a family’s wealth to allow the family to focus on what they enjoy, safe in the knowledge their wealth is being looked after
■ Recent family office clients include those who have sold interests in businesses and land owners who have accumulated their wealth over a number of years
