The firm also handles civil antitrust and consumer protection investigations and enforcement actions, which are being brought by state attorneys general with increasing frequency. CE&O has represented several Fortune 500 companies in state enforcement investigations and actions involving product-related consumer advertising, on-line advertising, investor communications, pricefixing, and other matters. The firm’s lawyers include former prosecutors and other lawyers with experience in government who are skilled in investigating such allegations and working with government officials to resolve these actions without enforcement. However, CE&O’s trial lawyers have successfully brought such cases to trial where resolution is not possible.
