Firms that only have individually ranked attorneys in the main guide still qualify for a Spotlight ranking. By showcasing small to medium-sized Ohio firms, we connect in-house counsel—looking for broader legal service options—with the prompt, effective support these firms deliver.

Our Spotlight research consists of four steps: identifying the law firms, conducting the interviews, determining the rankings and ultimately releasing the guide. 

An interview is the core of our Spotlight research. We conduct an anonymous and unattributable interview lasting around 45 minutes.

We will discuss your firm, the practice areas you work across and the types of clients you represent.

We invite you to share a selection of work highlights handled by the firm over the last 12 months. The Spotlight researcher will also ask for a brief update on the market in your area and for feedback about other firms active in your space.
