Simon was a researcher and later a deputy editor on the Chambers UK team, before becoming editor of the Chambers High Net Worth guide. He has an LLB in Laws from University College London. He also studied for the BPTC at City Law School and was Called to the Bar at Middle Temple.

Miguel has a law degree f rom the Catholic University of Portugal (Porto, 1998), a Postgraduate degree in Management f rom the same University (Porto, 1999) and a Postgraduate degree in Tax Law f rom the Business & Economics School (Lisbon, 2003). He has been active in the legal industry in tax advisory for almost 19 years. Miguel is based in Portugal, dividing his time between the two major cities - Lisbon and Porto. He also advises overseas clients on a regular basis.Before creating Durham Agrellos, for almost 14 years Miguel headed the Oporto Tax and Private Client department of an international law firm. Previously he worked as an Associate with a major Portuguese law firm, Vasconcelos, F. Sá Carneiro, Fontes & Associados and worked as a Tax Consultant to Jerónimo Martins Group, the major and most successful Portuguese retail group with relevant operational activity in Portugal and abroad, namely in Eastern Europe and Central America.Miguel focuses on wealth management, international tax and inheritance planning, corporate restructuring and tax litigation and arbitration.Miguel has a wealth of experience in advising family-owned groups, in particular exporting companies, ultra and high-net-worth individuals and families, and banks with private banking operations, family offices and asset managers. He frequently advises multinational groups operating in Portugal.Miguel is a tax arbitrator of the Portuguese Administrative and Tax Arbitration Centre and lectured at the Porto Business School of the Catholic University of Portugal. He frequently writes articles on tax issues and regularly speaks at conferences.

Has a law degree from the Catholic University of Portugal and a Master’s degree f om the same University. His Master’s thesis focused on the private international law framework regarding the regulation of corporate groups. Paulo is an Invited Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal where he teaches the courses of Tax Law, Introduction to Tax Proceedings, Introduction to Public Law, Constitutional Law and European Union Law. He frequently lectures in postgraduate programs in Portuguese Universities. Paulo is a Phd candidate and researches in tax law, particularly tax procedures. His professional practice is mainly focused on tax litigation and tax planning, particularly for family-owned groups. Paulo worked as a Senior Associate in the Tax and Private Client department of an international law firm.

Camilla Arno is a senior specialist of the Wealth Planning division of Itaú Private Bank Brazil, where she is responsible for coordinating international matters. Withovera decadeof experience dealing with ultra-high net worth clients, Camilla focuses her practice on cross-border matters, with an expertise on international trusts and estates and wealth planning and management. Prior to joining Itaú Private Bank, Camilla worked in the New York, Washington, D.C. and São Paulo offices of one of the largest international law firms. Camilla also worked for several years in Brazil as an in-house lawyer for a leading global financial institution and at the Inter-American Investment Corporation, a member of the IDB Group,leadingtransactions in Latin America and the Caribbean. Camillaobtained a bachelor’s in law from PontificiaUniversidadeCatólicain 2007, and an LLM from the Northwestern School of Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from the Kellogg Scholl of Management in 2010.Sheis licensed to practice law in New York and in Brazil and has published several articles and publications.Camillais fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and has participated as a speaker and moderator in wealth planning conferences and forums in Brazil and the U.S. Recent speaking engagements include the 2019LatamConference of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners (STEP), of which she is a full member.

Megan Worrell is a Senior Wealth Advisor for the Global Families Group, Megan works with clients and their advisors to develop solutions specific to multi-jurisdictional tax planning, liquidity events, succession planning, trust and investment structuring, and family office matters. She has over twenty years of experience with tax compliance and estate planning. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Megan was a partner at Duane Morris LLP where she served as Vice-Chair of the law firm’s Private Client team, and Head of the team’s International Practice Division. In that role, she provided international families with US federal income tax and wealth transfer planning advice. Megan’s work involved foreign trusts, pre-immigration and expatriation planning, planning for the purchase of U.S. property by non-U.S. persons, asset transfers, beneficiary conflicts, and information disclosure and compliance issues. Megan previously worked as an associate for both Lowenstein Sandler PC and McCarter & English, LLP, focusing on domestic estate planning. Prior to law school, she worked with private clients as a Certified Public Accountant at two “Big 4” accounting firms. Megan is the former Chair (2017-2019) of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), New York Branch. She was also the Vice Chair and Program Committee Chair from 2014 –2016. Megan serves on the Private Client Committee of the International Bar Association, is an ACTEC (American College of Trust & Estate Counsel) Fellow and Academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.

Anton Sternberg, Senior Partner, Stonehage Fleming

Anton is a Senior Partner in our Family Office business in the UK. He acts as a Key Adviser to a number of ultra high net worth international families, having previously run a number of the Stonehage Fleming Group’s business units. Anton joined the Group in 2002 following 10 years as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch, Hambros Bank and Charterhouse Bank, working in international corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions in London and in Frankfurt. He is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from the University of Cape Town.
