Sergio Solera Lacayo, Managing Partner - Facio & Cañas
Sergio has earned his LL.M. in Corporate Law at the New York University School of Law in 2010 and his LL.M in Tax Consulting at theUniversity for International Cooperation in 2009. He is currently a Managing Partner at Facio & Cañas. He was admitted to practice in the state of New York and is a member of the Pro Bono Commission of the Costa Rican Bar Association.
Adrián Torrealba Navas, Partner - Facio & Cañas
Adrian has a doctorate degree in Tax and Financial Law from the Computense University in Madrid. He is currently a Partner at Facio & Cañas, founding partner of FAYCATAX and President of the Firm’s Board. Adrian is also a member of the International Fiscal Association, President of the Costa Rican Institute of Tax Studies and Advisor of the International Monetary Fund among others.
Andrea Castro Rojas, Associate - Facio & Cañas
Andrea graduated from University of Columbia Law School, New York, NY, LL.M. Degree, receive May 2018. She obtained honors Thesis with distinction: “Civil responsibility of the Board of Directors in Costa Rican Corporations” She has worked in recognized law firms and is currently an Associate of the firm Facio & Cañas in Corporate and M&A area. Andrea was admitted to the Costa Rican Bar Association in 2013 and she is a vice- Chair of the Cross-Border Real Estate Committee of the American Bar Association.
Jonathan Block, Deputy Editor - Chambers and Partners
Jonathan joined Chambers in 2015 as a Researcher on the Latin America team before being promoted to Senior Researcher, Assistant Editor and finally Deputy Editor in charge of Mexico, Central America and Latin America-wide. He has previously completed work experiences in the legal and real estate sectors. Jonathan graduated in Politics from the University of Nottingham and has completed postgraduate studies in Law. He is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational French and Hebrew.
