Rhia Lyon, Research Manager
I’m Rhia, one of the assistant editors at Chambers Student. I’ve been at the company for three years, working on three different teams (she gets restless.) In my two years on the Student team, I’ve interviewed innumerable trainees, pupils and senior lawyers about training contracts and pupillages at all manner of firms and sets. More recently I’ve been getting more involved in the team’s podcasts: I’ve looked into topics like construction law, using second languages and, most recently, the work that Human Rights Watch does. I also spearhead our outreach program, organizing our attendance at law fairs and producing webinars. We’ve delivered seminars on things like COVID-19 and the legal industry, the state of the recruitment market and preparing for interviews. This is probably my favourite part of my job, as I get to delve into what you, the student, need from us to make sure you have the tools you need to enter the legal industry with confidence.
