We think it is important to highlight this distinction because, unlike brownfield projects, greenfield development projects require expertise at every stage of the projects lifecycle, including investment structure, tax structuring, commercial agreement negotiations, financing, operation, dispute resolution, and exit strategies. 

Another key strength is our extensive experience and expertise in negotiating and interacting with government authorities in jurisdictions with high regulatory barriers, which is another critical skill required in a greenfield development project. This is often the most important specialty of Yulchon that clients seek. Through our extensive experience advising on greenfield development projects and with our overseas offices in Russia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar, as well as our strong alliances with firms in Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia, we provide our clients with direct access to the local government and on-the-ground support in these regions where many greenfield development projects are pursued by Korean companies.
