Over the past two decades, YL has been involved in most of Israel’s significant large-scale infrastructure projects, including desalination facilities, power plants, highways and mass transit systems.
Our team has unmatched experience in accompanying infrastructure projects developed and financed as PPPs (Public Private Partnerships).
Among other projects, YL has advised the owner of the 300MW pumped storage facility in the Gilboa, which is the first pumped storage project in Israel; the lenders of a 440MW power plant in Mishor Rotem; the lenders of a 121MW solar thermal power plant in Ashalim (awarded the 2014 "Project of the Year" award on behalf of IJ Global); and the lenders of the Yam Tethys natural gas reservoir located offshore Israel. We have also represented the Government of Israel in connection with the construction and operation of the Carmel Tunnels in Haifa and the lenders of the northern section of the Cross Israel Highway.
YL is dedicated to understanding and meeting our clients’ business and legal needs and takes a personalized, practical and service-oriented approach to each and every project. In addition to analyzing the legal risks of the project, we aim to acquire a deep understanding of its commercial, financial and technical aspects, because we believe that such understanding is essential for providing our client with the best legal advice and for drafting legal documentation which would reflect the uniqueness of each project.
