We advise on appropriate procurement and contract structure for our client’s projects including the selection, drafting & negotiation of all major standard forms of contract, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE & bespoke agreements. We also advise on and prepare documents relating to payment security, professional appointments, warranties, bonds & parent company guarantees. We act in domestic and international construction disputes whether in adjudication, litigation, arbitration, mediation or expert determination. We advise clients on collaborative working and management or risk during on-going projects to help avoid disputes and to find a creative and cost-effective resolution of issues. We act variously for our clients and industry's. Our instructions relate to commercially strategic, complex, multi-party, high value projects & disputes.
- Our advice on the procurement and drafting of a £150m, 5-year smart highways framework was highlighted in The Times’ Best Law Firms 2023
- Acted for the successful Council in an adjudication and subsequent reported case of The Metropolitan Borough Council of Sefton v Allenbuild Ltd [2022] EWHC 1443 (TCC) on the enforceability of adjudication decisions where there is an arbitration clause
