WALLESS Banking and Finance Team together with the firm’s renewable energy colleagues intensively work on green finance (both bank lending and debt capital markets). WALLESS Banking and Finance Team is led by partners Mr. Gediminas Rečiūnas and Ms. Joana Baublytė-Kulvietė – both being highest ranked by all major legal directories in banking and finance.

• Acted as leading counsel of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the second loan to the Lithuanian Public Investment Development Agency (VIPA) for greening buildings in Lithuania

• Assisted Saldo Finance in obtaining a specialised bank license from the Bank of Lithuania and the European Central Bank

• Assisted Payrnet/ Railsbank in successfully obtaining an e-money institution license from the Bank of Lithuania

• Assisted RIA Financial in setting up a company in Lithuania and obtaining a payment institution license from the Bank of Lithuania

• Assisted Simplex in the acquisition transaction with Safecharge/ Nuvei

• Advised international banks on several Eurobond issuances as well as the largest ever IPO of Ignitis Group

• Advised private funds of Blackstone in relation to acquisition of a controlling stake in Luminor Bank

• Advised DAT group in financing of acquisition of aircraft hangar located in Kaunas, Lithuania
