V&E’s Intellectual Property practice assesses and analyzes clients’ technologies and their intellectual property portfolios to identify both opportunities and roadblocks. V&E lawyers provide advice and guidance on obtaining foreign and domestic patent rights, trademark rights, and copyrights. We also help clients navigate inbound and outbound licensing campaigns, and related technology transfers. And clients turn to us to assess potential intellectual property issues, to evaluate options for either avoiding expensive litigation or advantageously positioning the client in the event litigation occurs. Further, the core of V&E’s Intellectual Property litigation practice focuses on patent litigation in federal trial courts, as well as before the International Trade Commission and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Our technical knowledge combined with deep litigation experience have enabled us to achieve a long history of bench and jury trial success, and even more frequently, early resolutions resulting from innovative strategies, favorable claim construction in Markman hearings, summary judgment, and other early dismissals in favor of our clients.
