About

Provided by TozziniFreire Advogados

TozziniFreire’s energy practice assists a wide array of industry players, including generators transmission companies and distributors, as well as energy trading companies and institutional investors with important stakes in the Brazilian power sector. We also advise corporate consumers of electricity on offtake agreements, as well as non-energy companies that are interested in developing energy generation projects to meet part of their electricity consumption needs and to adopt energy transition measures.

We advise on the corporate and regulatory aspects involved in the buying and selling of energy companies and asset, as well as the structuring and development of energy generation projects, notably in the renewable energy space, including hydrogen, biomass, biomethane, wind, and solar power. Our ability to combine corporate and regulatory expertise, particularly with respect to negotiating sector-related agreements is a key feature of our work. Aside from our activity in traditional power work, we are very active in the Distributed Generation (DG) and self-production area.
