Overview

The firm’s large, well known and senior dispute resolution team has been involved in some of the most complex and principal Supreme Court cases. Its wide array of experience extends from tax litigation to corporate, competition, IP, construction, transport and insolvency disputes. We are also involved in some of the most publicised white-collar cases, currently representing SOE Port of Tallinn against its former directors in one on the most high-profile criminal cases in recent years and representing Tallinn City Council in a criminal case against former Major of Tallinn. Senior Partner Paul Varul is acting as an arbiter in the Arbitration Court of Nasdaq Tallinn in the matter of Olympic Entertainment Group vs Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange.

Our extended litigation team has largest number of active litigators on the partner level as well as an outstanding number of senior level attorneys with 10+ years of practical experience and knowledge in multiple business sectors and in constitutional matters. Head of the Department and former Minister of Justice, prof. Paul Varul is renowned as the “father of Estonian modern civil law” having been involved in drafting all the major legal acts of private law in Estonia. Managing Partner Martin Tamme lead the Estonian Bar Association’s best practice guidelines initiative to improve effectiveness of court proceedings that were implemented in Harju County Court, Estonian’s largest first instance court.
