SouthBank Legal represents Fortune 500 companies, smaller organizations, and high net-worth individuals in complex commercial litigation around the United States involving financial transactions, products liability and warranty, corporate shareholders and executives, and intellectual property. In recent years, SouthBank Legal defended a Fortune 500 company in multidistrict litigation involving over 3,000 product liability lawsuits related to hip implant devices. The firm served as national co-counsel and coordinated the defense and resolution of these proceedings. In another matter, working with an Am Law 100 firm, SouthBank Legal obtained the largest bench trial verdict in Indiana history on behalf of a military contractor that created armored vehicles. The client won a verdict of $277 million and avoided $700 million in counterclaims.

Recent successes have included obtaining summary judgment in a nine-figure breach of contracts/fraud case alleging theft of confidential information, where SouthBank, defending a former president of a publicly traded motor vehicle parts supplier, strategically focused on the company’s conduct. In another nine-figure litigation, SouthBank represented a plaintiff against the Indiana Gaming Commission while simultaneously defending him in two administrative proceedings. The matters were resolved such that the plaintiff was able to profitably divest his shares in an investment where the project was under investigation.
