Our Trust, Asset & Wealth Management Practice is one of the pioneer legal advisers in this area of the law in Singapore and has grown in size and sophistication to meet the developing demands of the industry.

Since the inception of the S-REITs in 2002, we have been involved in almost all of the listed S-REITs, each transaction with varying structures, magnitudes and complexities. As for funds and asset management, we regularly advise asset and wealth managers, institutional clients and sponsors on licensing conditions and exemptions under the Singapore funds regulations, the establishment of private equity, hedge and real estate funds and the applicable safe harbours for offerings in Singapore. We also advise clients on issues relating to financial sector regulatory licences, exemptions and compliance, as well as assisting with the making of applications and representations to the local regulators.

Our experience includes advising on:

• S-REIT IPOs and post-IPO transactions including equity fund raising, debt issues, acquisitions and divestments
• Traditional funds, including unit trusts, investment funds and UCITS (undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities), in relation to their listings on the Singapore and other international exchanges
