Our Restructuring and Insolvency Group comprises multilingual lawyers versed in both civil law and common law tradition. Many of our specialists have previously held positions with Swiss courts.
The firm is recognised as a leader in restructuring and insolvency, including insolvency-related litigation. Schellenberg Wittmer can consolidate a large, qualified team at short notice in both French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland. The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and courts frequently entrust our team with insolvency administration thanks to our excellent track record and reputation. Our team members regularly work within or in collaboration with other practice groups (such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate and Commercial, Banking and Finance, Litigation).
We advise and represent clients in restructuring and bankruptcy matters. We act as litigators in the Swiss courts and as bankruptcy administrators.
Our firm has the expertise and experience to take on the most complex insolvency matters, including those with an international dimension, such as assisting foreign receivers and bankruptcy trustees in expansion of insolvency proceedings into Switzerland.
