The Life Science Department of the firm provides counsel in all aspects and strategies of patents, particularly, related to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health care and other life science related areas.

Therefore, this department provides to foreign and national clients full service, not only in the filing and in prosecution of patent applications, but also advising on innovations schemes and providing services related to searching, and drafting patent applications, as well as drafting and negotiating license agreements and all contracts including patent rights.

The firm offers advice in the pre filing stage, including state of the art searches, feasibility analysis, novelty analysis and litigation, both administrative and judicial.

The Patent Department of the firm includes in house engineers, chemist pharmacists, biochemist engineers, mechanical engineers and electronic engineers, who act as patent attorneys, and many of them having been formerly examiners at the Chilean Patent Office.
