The department is best known for handling big ticket commercial disputes and investigations. 

Nicholas Sharratt, who leads the team, has significant experience in the region focusing on international arbitrations in the various practice areas including financial institutions, infrastructure and construction. Deirdre Walker who has over 30 years’ experience in litigation, handling complex multi-jurisdictional disputes across a range of industries.

Major sectors of focus include construction, real estate, financial institutions, energy, infrastructure and healthcare. The team advises clients within these sectors on ADR, international and domestic arbitration and litigation before the DIFC and Saudi courts; investigations and regulatory enforcement.
