Dispute Resolution: Litigation

NLD regularly engages in litigation before trial, appellate, and arbitral tribunals concerning various dispute resolution processes and matters, including civil, construction, commercial, and administrative cases.

NLD is also deeply involved in negotiations and strategies to prevent litigation. The firm has been very successful litigating in the Supreme Court and in arbitration proceedings. Recently, NLD achieved a favorable ruling issued by the full bench of the Supreme Court regarding the timing of the statute of limitations in civil matters.

Additionally, in ordinary courts, NLD secured a significant ruling based on the Convention on the International Sale of Goods for breach of contract due to an alleged force majeure.

NLD also obtained a substantial ruling, awarding several million dollars in compensation, against a prominent public health body. Furthermore, the firm has achieved favorable results in various arbitrations, including a case for a large mining company based on the theory of piercing the corporate veil and another case for breach of contract in the construction of major infrastructure projects.
