About

Provided by Mori Hamada

Mori Hamada has the resources and knowledge to represent and assist Japanese and international clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors on project development, project financing, construction/EPC, M&A, regulatory issues and dispute resolution. Our close relationships with major industry players, trade associations and regulatory authorities enable our team to help clients navigate the most recent regulatory reforms and stay attuned to current industry trends.

We have represented major clients in leading transactions across the rapidly evolving energy and infrastructure markets. For instance, we have acted for major consortiums in large-scale offshore wind projects, cross-border M&As involving renewable projects and developers, and numerous bilateral carbon credit transactions. We have also advised prominent developers and retailers on cutting-edge corporate PPA arrangements, including project financings based on corporate PPAs. Our team has also represented the majority of infrastructure funds listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Our team has worked on landmark infrastructure projects, including the first integrated resort (IR) project in Osaka, as well as large concession-based privatizations of public infrastructure such as airports and toll roads, and many PFI projects for the construction of various public facilities.
