With more than 150 lawyers on our team, we have one of the largest international hedge fund practices based upon the number and size of hedge fund clients and transactions. We represent all types of domestic and offshore hedge funds, across a broad range of investment and financing strategies, including customized and captive funds, crossover funds, hybrid hedge/private equity funds, funds of funds, master-feeder funds, and permanent capital vehicles.

We represent more than 800 global hedge fund managers, broker-dealers, and asset managers, including more than 50% of the world’s 50 largest hedge funds. Our clients include seven of the 10 largest hedge fund managers (based on assets under management (AUM)) and more than 100 institutional investors in connection with their fund structuring and formation, managed account and seeding programs, securities and regulatory advice, and investment programs.

We advise managers on all major issues relating to startups, spinouts, seeding and lead investments, fund formation, managed accounts and “funds of one,” derivatives and structured products, securities, regulatory and enforcement, M&A, tax issues, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and fiduciary, employment, and intellectual property.
