The real estate practice group has extensive experience handling real estate matters and the broad range of legal issues that can arise in commercial real estate transactions. 

The practice group represents public companies, privately-held businesses, developers, investors, financial institutions and municipalities and other governmental agencies in a variety of real estate projects and deals. When diverse knowledge and experience is needed, the real estate team can draw on the depth of the full-service firm to provide the regulatory, litigation, business, tax and public financing experience needed that complex real estate matters can require.  

The real estate team of lawyers assists clients with the acquisition, purchase and development of projects and assists property owners and developers in obtaining land use planning and zoning approvals. The team assists clients with development issues involving easements, site development and access issues. The practice group represents financial institutions in real estate collateralized loans and real estate owners in selecting financing products, counseling clients on matters of economic development incentives. In addition, the real estate practice group advises developers (for profit and nonprofit), investors, lenders, syndicators, loan servicers, state and local housing authorities and agencies, managers and contractors on all aspects of affordable housing development.
