Our specialist team acts for commercial clients and land and rural businesses across different sectors of the Scottish economy handling complex property litigation as well as representing clients through alternative dispute resolution. 

The team has a particular focus on and strong reputation for expertise in four areas:

Commercial Property - We represent housebuilders, national retailers, national charities, developers, tenants and landlords primarily advising on lease interpretation, lease termination, break notices, service charge disputes, keep open clauses and dilapidations.  

Rural/Agricultural - Working with our rural property services colleagues, we advise some of Scotland’s biggest landowners representing some estates which are in excess of 75,000 acres on a full range of property disputes. 

Telecoms (both commercial and rural clients) - We have significant expertise in telecoms litigation and have conducted numerous cases before the court and also the Lands Tribunal for Scotland. 

Residential Property - We have particular expertise in access and boundary disputes between residential proprietors and have significant experience of applications to the Lands Tribunal to vary or discharge land burdens. We are specialists in the Private Rented Sector providing representation across all issues including repossession, anti-social behaviour and breach of the repairing standard or the Letting Agent Code of Practice.
