Lee & Ko’s Restructuring & Insolvency Team has extensive experience of representing all types of key players in bankruptcy cases including debtors, creditors and investors, which in turn enables the Team to provide a most adequate solution to any client dealing with financial problems of its own or others. The Team is composed of top experts of rehabilitation company M&A, DIP financing, workout, restructuring of project financing, corporate revitalization, and related tax matters. With such experts and former judges from the bankruptcy court, Lee & Ko established a complete system to efficiently handle complex restructuring cases requested by clients.
The Team has been involved with almost all major restructuring, workout and insolvency cases in Korea for the last two decades. Recently Lee & Ko is pioneering new insolvency practices of non-profit organizations and public-private projects. For example, Lee & Ko represented a local railroad company and it was the first case in which a large scale public-private project declared bankruptcy and requested compensation. In addition, members of the Team are active in academic activities and vigilantly engaged with legislative and judicial policy making processes regarding insolvency matters.
