Kromann Reumert's energy law group has been involved in practically every major transaction over the past ten years in the Danish energy sector as well as in many of the high profile and noteworthy legal actions to have been brought before the competent public authorities and a number of key legislative initiatives.

Kromann Reumert has further played a significant role in the financing of international renewable energy projects in around 50 different jurisdictions around the world.

The team advises among other things on:

• Mergers of energy companies (including cooperatives)

• Acquisition and sale of companies and/or activities/assets within the energy sector

• Renewable energy (wind, hydro, solar, biogas and biomass), including subsidy schemes and corporate PPAs

• Gas supply

• Water supply and regulation

• Financing of the above assets (equity and debt)

As a result of the detailed regulatory regime governing this area of the law, Kromann Reumert's energy law group represents clients on a regular basis in energy-related cases before the Danish Energy Agency, the Danish Energy Regulatory Authority, the Danish Energy Board of Appeal and the courts.

Drawing on a large number of cases, the energy group also has wide international experience in energy related areas such as wind and solar energy projects, power plant projects, acquisition of foreign energy companies etc.
