The team provides major local and international sector undertakings on the full range of industry-specific legal services, including corporate and M&A transactions, projects, licensing, contracts, compliance, regulatory, contentious matters, as well as on the exploitation, supply and use of information technology, networks and telecommunications, ISP and broadcast services. The team closely monitors and keeps ahead of tech and IT trends, as well as of regulatory developments, in order to provide the most up-to-date and effective solutions to clients.

Clients frequently engage the TMT team to support them throughout large-scale local and cross-border transactions due to its positioning on the local market and wide-ranging experience in handling assignments with strong international focus.

The team also is retained on a substantial number of assignments from participants in the audiovisual industry (singers, actors, vloggers) relating to the protection of their rights in the Digital Single Market.

In the past year, the department has been instructed with numerous transactions in the TMT sector, among which also happen to be some of the largest ones on the local market (sale of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, acquisition of Nova Broadcasting Group, investment in Bulpros). The department has also seen considerable growth in terms of mandates for ongoing regulatory advice and sector compliance assistance, as well as assistance on data protection and privacy compliance.
