J.S. Held provides investigative support and strategic advice in the context of large-scale complex, cross-border commercial disputes and transactions.

Whilst J.S. Held has experience conducting investigations globally, the expertise of the London-based team predominantly lies in Russia, the CIS, Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. The Middle East and Asia are covered locally by our international offices.

Typical assignments include:

• Evidence gathering in the context of anticipated or ongoing litigation and arbitration claims;
• Proving jurisdiction for proposed counterparties in litigation;
• Mapping the assets of sovereigns, companies and individuals to facilitate the enforcement of court and tribunal decisions and awards (see Asset Recovery);
• Internal and external investigations into corruption, fraud or malpractice;
• Identification of expert witnesses
• Due diligence and sanctions reviews on commercial counterparties; and
• Transaction intelligence and support.
