The environmental and planning practice in Spain, led by partner and co-regional head of ESG EMEA Iria Calviño, combines an in-depth knowledge of the sector with regulatory, corporate, real estate, finance, and contentious practices to provide a full range of services to clients. These services include environmental advice, dispute resolution, development and financing of projects within the environmental sector, agreements with environmental implications, implementation and compliance with EU Directives, drafting environmental regulations, urban planning, and licensing and permitting issues. The team advises sponsors, infrastructure funds, financial institutions, and public entities on a wide variety of environmental and planning work. Additionally, they provide training and master classes to clients on ESG, including climate change, sustainable and green finance, business and human rights, impact investment, corporate governance, reporting and disclosures, and ESG-related legislation and policy.
