The Firm is also a market leader in energy litigation. Represented global gasoline wholesalers since 1911, when it helped incorporate the Texas Oil Company (Texaco) in Puerto Rico, which later became Chevron and then sold its assets to Puma Energy. The Firm assisted in the transition of the network of over 200 service stations and 2 terminals to Puma Energy. For over 10 years the Firm ran all the legal function for Puma Energy in Puerto Rico, supporting a network of service stations, terminals and other commercial operations in Puerto Rico and the Americas. We are also leaders in Petroleum Marketing Practices Act litigation and intellectual property litigation. The firm continues to represent Chevron in Puerto Rico in legacy litigation. More recently, industry powerhouse Motiva, LLC retained the Firm to defend the company in an industry class action lawsuit.
