Estrella, LLC is known as a market leader in premises liability litigation, with decades of experience defending leading retail clients such as Wal-Mart Stores, Sam’s Club, Amigo Supermarkets, The Home Depot, Simon Malls, CVS Pharmacies, Advanced Auto Parts, Burlington Coat Factory, Microsoft Store, among others. Two leading Puerto Rico Supreme Court cases were handled by the Firm on behalf of some of these clients: Nignora Ramos v. Sam’s Club,168 D.P.R. 112 (2006); and Ramos Rosado v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., 165 D.P.R. 510 (2005). We also handle all types of commercial litigation.  For instance, for our shopping mall clients such as Simon Malls, DDR (now Site Centers) and Urban Edge, we handle their major commercial eviction matters.

The Firm is also known as a market leader in oil and gas litigation.  It has uninterruptedly represented Puerto Rico’s leading gasoline wholesalers since 1911, when it helped incorporate the Texas Oil Company in Puerto Rico, better known as Texaco.  Texaco later became Chevron and in 2012, it sold its assets to Puma Energy.  Puma Energy oversees the operation of over 300 gasoline service stations, 2 terminals and countless other facilities.  Since 1911, Estrella, LLC has been the principal firm for these companies.  We are also leaders in Petroleum Marketing Practices Act litigation (a federal (US) statute relevant to the industry) and intellectual property litigation.
