The Liability and Insurance department is one of the top three in the Netherlands. We owe this position to the input provided by an expert group of specialised lawyers with a result-orientated approach.
The Liability and Insurance department mainly provides advice and litigates for insurance companies and businesses, both on a national and international level. Commissioned by liability insurers, we also provide services to their insured persons, in other words, to businesses, authorities and private individuals in their professional capacity.
Our client base mainly consists of many Dutch and international (re)insurance companies (and their insureds) and insurance brokers. Our department is regularly involved in major and complex disputes, also cross-border/international, both before civil courts as in (international) arbitration.

Dirkzwager boasts a strong regional and global insurance practice. The team acts for prominent Dutch and global insurers on a variety of contentious insurance mandates, with particular expertise in professional liability, product liability and D&O disputes. It also assists with class action lawsuits, including WAMCA proceedings.
