We provide legal and notarial advice from all perspectives on real estate transactions, representing from financiers (Banco Santander Uruguay, Banco Itaú Uruguay, most notably), real estate developers, structurers, managers, to final clients (purchasers) in all stages of the works, from planning all the way to final approval by the public authorities and recordings. Our works include real estate developments, conveyances – rural (ongoing businesses like forestry, milking, and agribusiness), urban (buildings or houses, for commercial and residential purposes).
One relevant role is the advice we provide to Banco Santander Uruguay, the largest private bank in the market, which is regularly called upon to participate in the financing of the most important real estate projects in our country.
Additionally, we render advice to one important developer, Ivory Group (from Spain), on all stages of projects, from the fund raising and negotiations of collaterals, to the permitting and construction agreements of the buildings, and up to final sales and administration of assets.
Also, as long-time lawyers to worldwide-known retail companies (McDonalds, Pepsi, Claro), we actively participate in either buying or leasing real estate for commercial premises or logistic hubs, warehouses or antennae.
