About

Provided by De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek

De Brauw’s Tax practice focuses on both domestic and international corporate transactions, including M&A and intra-group reorganisations, as well as on financial transactions, including capital markets and structured finance transactions.

We also provide tax advice to large Dutch and non-Dutch multinational companies and banks, assisting these clients in their more complex tax issues and strategies. The Tax practice has special expertise in the tax aspects of innovative financial instruments and stock option and shares plans and regularly cooperates with the investment management group of De Brauw in structuring and analysing investment funds for retail and institutional investors, as well as the private equity industry.

The practice covers all aspects of Dutch tax law, including detailed advice on corporate income tax and dividend withholding tax as well as on all international tax issues. We frequently discuss and negotiate tax matters on behalf of clients with the Dutch Tax Authorities, while at the same time we also have a substantial legal opinion practice, particularly with respect to capital market and structured finance transactions. We maintain strong working relationships with leading foreign firms and regularly provide assistance to foreign counsel on Dutch tax aspects of corporate and financial transactions.
