About

Provided by De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek

Our Investment Management practice is at the forefront of new developments and often spearheads them. We are regularly consulted by the Dutch Ministry of Finance and by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) on new legislation and policy rules. We are regularly involved in drafting industry principles on behalf of the Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association (DUFAS).

We are prominent in advising both managers and investors on:

  • the formation, operation and regulation of a broad range of investment funds including retail funds (both UCITS and AIFs), real estate funds, infrastructure funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds and funds of funds
  • asset pooling structures
  • investment management agreements
  • fiduciary management agreements.

We have in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements applicable to Dutch pension funds and insurance companies.
